  1. For me to get my first bronze tools, I had to pan through a stack of gravel. Additionally, exploring caves can yield lots of metal. In order to use the propick effectively, I recommend enabling the alternate propick mode. The default mode tells you the likelyhood of an ore being within the triangle (after testing 3 points) and the alternate mode tells you if there are any ore actually there within 6 blocks after testing 1 point.

  2. The best way to handle large mobs is to light up the immediate area you are in completely, then dig a hole in the wall to fit yourself in. Place a ladder in front of the hole. The drifters will think that they can get in, but they will all get stuck on the ladder where you can hit them freely. It's not an exciting fight, but you wont need high tier equipment.

  3. The bloomery requires the bloomery base and bloomery chimney to function, with the chimney attached to the top of the base. You use a torch on the base to light it, but it must first have the coal and iron/glass inside. It is easiest to see this with tooltips turned on. Once lit, the chimney will smoke and the base will spark

  4. I went through the portal twice, no change. Tried setting up a translocator in the position that I teleported to, but it just connect to a different translocator. If no one else is having this problem I'll just assume it's a 1 in a million chance and forget about it.

  5. Has anyone else gone through a translocator and found no translocator on the other side? I have gone through several translocators now and there's always a working one to take me back, but this time there wasn't, even when I checked in creative mode. Is this a bug or a risk when using these machines?

  6. If the windmill and connected axles move, but only stop when connected to the helvehammer, this means you set it up correctly but don't have enough wind power. Remember that the axles are considered as part of the load, so avoid a tall windmill and build one at high altitudes if possible. Also, two windmills can be connected to the helvehammer, one on each side. It may take two to get the machine working, I have two on mine and it only works effectively on windy days.
