I couldn't get the game to run with flatpak, I'm on CachyOS but I do have some experience with the desktop version of bazzite. I would just download the tar, unzip it, and run the game from directory using run.sh; that's how I do it. Not sure why you're using big picture with steam, are you sure you installed the right version of bazzite? My guess is you possibly installed the steamdeck version?
