Ezra Posted October 12, 2022 Report Posted October 12, 2022 Bamboo charcoal is absolutely a real thing and I don't see why stacking sufficient amounts of bamboo in a charcoal pit wouldn't work just as well as firewood does. 4
Ruyeex Posted October 12, 2022 Report Posted October 12, 2022 That would be useful in emergency situations.
Hal13 Posted October 19, 2022 Report Posted October 19, 2022 theoretically stacked sticks should work to get charcoal too, though it might give less than neatly stacked firewood.
Acouthyt Posted November 10, 2022 Report Posted November 10, 2022 I'd like to see bamboo also be useable for other things as well, like traps and etc. I feel like it's been ignored quite a bit in overall usage, and I'd like to see it have more. This would also make a nice starting point to that. 1
SeeYaInValhalla Posted November 12, 2022 Report Posted November 12, 2022 I agree with all statements here
Acouthyt Posted November 12, 2022 Report Posted November 12, 2022 Come to think of it, you could also use the bamboo to make a pitfall trap into bamboo stakes to passively protect your farms early on in the game.

Ivan Stamenov Posted November 14, 2022 Report Posted November 14, 2022 An easy workaround (albeit factually incorrect) is adding a "Bamboo sticks to firewood" crafting recipe, similar to https://mods.vintagestory.at/sticksarefirewood .
