rcVanor Posted February 8, 2024 Report Posted February 8, 2024 Laptop is on low end, had to run game on low settings. Game froze and crashed in a black screen. Resulted in my laptop's display scale getting messed up somehow. Trying to start it up again leads to this: Quote Running on 64 bit Windows 10.0.19045.0 with 16020 MB RAM Game Version: v1.19.3 (Stable) 2/8/2024 1:30:20 PM: Critical error occurred Loaded Mods: OpenTK.Windowing.GraphicsLibraryFramework.GLFWException: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL at OpenTK.Windowing.Desktop.GLFWProvider.DefaultErrorCallback(ErrorCode errorCode, String description) at OpenTK.Windowing.GraphicsLibraryFramework.GLFWNative.glfwCreateWindow(Int32 width, Int32 height, Byte* title, Monitor* monitor, Window* share) at OpenTK.Windowing.GraphicsLibraryFramework.GLFW.CreateWindow(Int32 width, Int32 height, String title, Monitor* monitor, Window* share) at OpenTK.Windowing.Desktop.NativeWindow..ctor(NativeWindowSettings settings) at OpenTK.Windowing.Desktop.GameWindow..ctor(GameWindowSettings gameWindowSettings, NativeWindowSettings nativeWindowSettings) at Vintagestory.Client.NoObf.GameWindowNative..ctor(GameWindowSettings gameWindowSettings, NativeWindowSettings nativeWindowSettings) in VintagestoryLib\Client\ClientPlatform\GameWindowNative.cs:line 14 at Vintagestory.Client.ClientProgram.Start(ClientProgramArgs args, String[] rawArgs) in VintagestoryLib\Client\ClientProgram.cs:line 280 at Vintagestory.Client.ClientProgram.<>c__DisplayClass9_0.<.ctor>b__1() in VintagestoryLib\Client\ClientProgram.cs:line 128 at Vintagestory.ClientNative.CrashReporter.Start(ThreadStart start) in VintagestoryLib\Client\ClientPlatform\ClientNative\CrashReporter.cs:line 93 Uninstalling and reinstalling gives the same error on startup. I had mods on the first time, but none now. So why is this happening when it managed to chug along before?
TheRedd Posted February 17, 2024 Report Posted February 17, 2024 Do you have any mods? Most likely it's an outdated mod.

The crashlog also reports "The driver does not appear to support OpenGL", which points into the same direction. Have you tried doing a full restart of your notebook and checking if it works again afater?
Pa-Pa Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 i had this problem too. uninstall graphic drivers. restart windows with its default drivers. start the game. normally it will start and later you can reinstall your own grapic drivers again.
