IgneousIfreet Posted April 23, 2024 Report Posted April 23, 2024 I've recently found that lava is currently just kinda useless. And how cool could it be if we could replace the coalsink that is steelmaking by replacing the heating element below the refractory forge with lava! You'd have to first and foremost find lava, then you'd have to build your forge underground on top of a pool to make it work. Sounds sick to me!
Thorfinn Posted April 23, 2024 Report Posted April 23, 2024 Like Dwarf Fortress. Is it worth it? At the moment, it would take a crazy number of axles to go from where the wind is strong down to where there's a reasonable shot at lava. Unless you maybe want to work it without the helve hammer? Maybe once steam power gets added...
IgneousIfreet Posted April 24, 2024 Author Report Posted April 24, 2024 Honestly its a fun idea I think. Means there's more to do building wise, and it adds some depth to late game steel production that isnt solved with simple deforestation lol 2
