TAIREX Posted May 17, 2024 Report Posted May 17, 2024 Can we please get 3x3 doors? I often find myself making odd numbered bases like 11x11 13x13 15x15 and i would really appreciate to have a 3x3 door so everything feels nice and centered. This would also be useful if i'm making 3x3 tunnels , i want something to close them off nicely. Also, i wouldn't mind different sized trapdoors as well. Thanks! 4
Chuckerton Posted May 17, 2024 Report Posted May 17, 2024 At that size id call them gates instead, but yes, larger entrance options would be nice.
Guimoute Posted May 18, 2024 Report Posted May 18, 2024 Yes please. Before anyone worries about the implementation details: a 3 wide door would be a single "block", not a pair of 1.5 wide blocks. The mono-block 2x2 gates are a nice precedent in that they show a gate can lock the empty space it needs to play its opening animation.
ArgentLuna Posted May 19, 2024 Report Posted May 19, 2024 Even if not 3 by 3 having existent larger doors be a texture match to the normal doors would be nice ~ presently using a 2x2 and a 1x2 on a Barn and the 2x2 has a different look despite being the same wood
NachoDawg Posted February 9, 2025 Report Posted February 9, 2025 I've been scouring the internet for a gosh darn 3xN door solution and there's nothing. There's 1 guy who apparently tried to make a door mod but that lead went cold. In a perfect world it would be double 1.5 doors allowing sleeker indoor doorways. 1x2 is just too tight to run through quickly and 2x2 is just too limiting in a room with an odd width. I hate that there's no solution :C /rant 1
Professor Dragon Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 I'm a bit late to this post, but I basically second all of the comments. Because of the block nature of this game, often odd-number size rooms and corridors look better than even sized. The normal 1 (wide) by 2 (high) door fits well. But a wider room/corridor may need a 3 x 2 or a 3 x 3 door to look right. The 1 x 2 looks too small. Also, it would be nice to have a 1 x 2 door that opens in the middle (hinged both sides) - a bit like a cowboy saloon door, except the normal full height. It just opens down the middle so that your room is symmetrical.
Facethief Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 If I were to make an oddwith doorway, I’d personally put a pillar between the two doors, but that’s just me.
