Our server has evolved with a bit more flair than before, but still maintains that classic vanilla vibe. We’ve introduced 13 carefully selected mods to enhance gameplay, with many being lightweight to preserve that authentic feel. These mods open up new possibilities for role-playing, trading, and more. idiomcritter Posted August 22, 2024 Report Posted August 22, 2024 Yes, I joined the Old Glory server. I wasn't happy about how he required discord third party (via a bot) verification. Made a different discord account at the time, since I didn't want to expose my main discord account to something unknown (to me) doing the verification. I also exchanged DM's that that was what I was going to do. I ended up leaving the server after reaching iron age. A few things led to that decision. I wasn't into role play, which left me isolated (which was ok, ease dropping on chat banter was enough inclusion). For reasons, a decision was made to create a second server, that was only for roll play and seemed to split the small community leaving the original server less attended (hence less chatter). It was an interesting experience playing with longer days per month, and 50% Land/Water. Also the group of players active at the time, were friendly and inviting, even though I kinda kept my distance  Also, Mr Handy would live stream via discord, and I had a chance to lurk in a few of those. It was confirming to me during the lurk He is an VS enthusiast all n all glad i joined for the short period i did. running a vs server and doing things to keep it active is a tough thing to do. feel like finding the right balance was at issue maybe

Fair warning to you who might try to join his discord. I don't appreciate you spreading misinformation about my server. There are no bots that are on my server or Discord other than the 3 I made for discord moderation and in game chat, so I have no idea what you are talking about. The verification is to PREVENT bots and has worked with no issues so far. Bit late to the reply but I found this claim so ridiculous I had to reply back to it. Shame on you, also WHAT POST did I delete exactly? When you join the discord all you can see is the captcha page until you are verified, that is working exactly as intended. I want to let you all know that the server will be updated to the stable branch of 1.20 once available. The link provided above in the original post should still be valid and verification will still be required in discord. I will update you all on the server ins and outs as soon as the update drops. Our server is Vanilla+ with optional light roleplay, offering a balanced and immersive experience. We also use Fair Play Guardian on the server, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone. Only specific client-side mods are permitted, but if you’d like to request a mod to be whitelisted, feel free to ping me, and we can discuss it.
