Will v1.20.0-pre.1 be compatible with the full release of the next big update?

I know this version will not have ALL the content of the next big update. I just want to know if I will be able to use the "pre" version to start a world now that can be used when the update fully comes out. I love this game and waiting for the full release is too long haha.

In my experience, no.  I wouldn't invest too much time into it until they have something on the stable release side.  They even explain that these pre versions are for testing and modders.

Welcome to the forums, @Bargas. My guess is "probably". There might be a block or two that don't have a remap, but I'd expect a 1.20 to update cleaner than a 1.19.

And worst case, you have had fun in the meantime, right?
