Yeah was wondering the same - kinda reminds me of a power pylon?

It was polished limestone.  Kind of out of place, but I wanted to build something different after the castles and I wanted something like a lighthouse in that area.  Edit: ohh yeah and it has some porcelain oil lamps (I think from bricklayers mod) to light it up.
