Benji Posted November 28, 2024 Report Posted November 28, 2024 I am using the support beams creatively to save on chiseling, sadly it has to be the last step of building since the beams block me from placing anything near them. Since I can simply remove them, place whatever I want to place and then make a new beam in the same location without issues, I was hoping that I could just remove the feature of support beams blocking building. Right now, I am having troubles finding the right setting in the files so any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Thorfinn Posted November 28, 2024 Report Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Have you checked the mods that ignore grass while butchering to give you insight? [EDIT] I'n mot saying that's the answer. It's just the first thing I'd look at. Edited November 28, 2024 by Thorfinn
UnrealCanadian Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM I too have been looking into this, I am using support beams as baseboards and window frames in my build... cant place anything against the walls or around my windows.

One trick I've picked up through many hours of messing with supports beams is to chisel blocks so that you can put the starting point of the beam inside or behind the block in question, that way the hit box of the beam doesn't get in your way and blocks the adjacent block, it's a bit finicky but it's the best solution I've found for tight places.
