That would be nice. Maybe not a priority at this stage of development.

Welcome to the forums, @JAGIELSKI!

It probably should be. Maybe not a full in-game browser straight away, but the whole modding aspect, being so prominent in the game, should receive some love and work. The way mod handling/management is currently implemented is far removed from being user-friendly.

Spoiler

Welcome to the forums indeed, @JAGIELSKI.

Welcome to the forums indeed, @JAGIELSKI.

A system to check if mods are up to date would be nice. I don't have too much trouble installing mods, but checking version and replacing the files is a huge pain.

Try typing 'launcher' into the mod search box.

I'm currently using VS Launcher (only because it was the most popular, theres a few on there of different flavours) and it does all the things you're asking for. Clicking on a mod gives a choice of every version of that mod and shows version compatability. You can click the corner to open the mod website to check it out more throughly and It also gives a pop up on startup if there's newer versions available.

It even allows for multiple instances or versions with different mod loadouts, selectable with a drop down box. Also, all installs can be in whatever directory you want, so you don't have to use the c:/user/appdata default and can use installs like a normal, sensible program.
