Bagel07 Posted December 27, 2024 Report Posted December 27, 2024 Alright... I know how to find veins and do the whole prospecting thing. I've done it before. I just for the life of me can't find anymore copper veins! I've searched a huge area. Are there specific biomes where I can find more copper or am I just super unlucky?
Ketoth Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 Try searching on the handbook for the ore you want to find, you can see the mother rock for each ore there. If you're having a hard time finding copper try in an area with a stone type that either goes to rich or bountiful (the ones that have 3 or 4 entries). In copper's case something like Limestone, basalt, Granite, peridotite, slate, the marbles, or phylite. It should be more common there, at least as far as pro-pick veins go Surface copper with the little chunks to indicate it I think is evenly distributed evenly in every area that can have copper at all. 2
N0ma13 Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 Copper can exist in 'surface nodes' that are indicated by nuggets on the surface or in underground veins like other ores which are 'not' indicated by nuggets on the surface but can be found by prospecting. I can't give more advise than check the book for mother rock and just keep prospecting until it starts to show up. My current world gave me cassiterite before copper but I finally found that large rich vein so all is good in the world. Until it runs out cause things take too damn many ingots 40 ingots for a set of chain is ouch man.
