solisamor Posted January 14, 2025 Report Posted January 14, 2025 I'm playing in 1.19 and started a chicken coop - seems to work as the domestication system should, I have Gen 1 chickens now. Having a harder time with my pigs though. I'm feeding them but the game doesn't seem to register when they've consumed any food provided by me, e.g., no 'Portions eaten:' comes up. I currently have 5 sows and 1 boar due to having had a litter of piglets but they weren't registered as Gen 1 and I can only assume this is because the game didn't register that my Boar/Sow had eaten any food provided by me. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any suggestions and help!

Thorfinn Posted January 14, 2025 Report Posted January 14, 2025 You are trying to feed them vegetables or berry mash or some other food valid for pigs, right?

From what i understand @solisamor meant he fed the pigs - they ate but didnt get the portions eaten registered. If this is true im wondering are you using any mods? 1
Thorfinn Posted January 14, 2025 Report Posted January 14, 2025 Yeah, I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by that. It's been a hot second since I raised any animals, but I think you used to be able to put out hay, but they got no benefit from it. If he's feeding turnips or something, and the stuff in the trough is going down, but the sows are not getting credit for it, I'd next look at mods. 2
