CastIronFabric Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 (edited) My understanding is that currently wild animal can NOT jump over fences of any height. Meaning if I make an outdoor stable for my future domesticated animals I should be safe with fences other than 1. rare cases of a spawn on an edge clipping the animal into the stable. 2. grass growing which can cause spawns? 3. snow which would enable wild animals to jump a fence? Is my understanding correct? Edited February 3, 2025 by CastIronFabric
Solution idiomcritter Posted February 4, 2025 Solution Report Posted February 4, 2025 sounds about right. personally I double fence, that is, a perimeter fence 2 blocks away from the pen surrounding. the bears may not climb the fence, but they do have a block or so reach, a killing move 1
CastIronFabric Posted February 4, 2025 Author Report Posted February 4, 2025 that is a good point. I might make a pit around it only because I do not like high fences. Winter (which is unavoidable) has to have a solution anyway.
