More indepth Waypoints

Enhance waypoint system! Add more icons/colors & quick sets like copper+orange. Make macros easier to manage & use. Adapt 'autoWP' mod and make chunk borders optional on minimap.

that would be awesome! I struggle a bit with the same waypoint for the same thing, so a shortcut or quick sets would be a big help

I would suggest the most powerful improvement that also happens to be the easiest.

A search function.

All these tags we put into the map are in a database somewhere, it would not be hard to create a search.

Better than search, a filter.

Lack of a filter is one of the biggest reasons I don't bother with map. It's way too easy to get cluttered with pins and be basically useless.

It has a filter sort of. Sometimes i turn the prospect dots off because they flood over quick. I dont like the way to macros are set up either. Its not very user friendly.

For prospecting, yes. It would be nice to be able to display only surface copper, and all the surface copper, and not have all the other stuff cluttering up the place. Particularly if you could with a single click, toggle all filtered results pinned status.
