Josiah Gibbonson Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 Animals could leave droppings specific to their animal type. You could use them for fertilizer, and it'd tell you what kind of animal it was from and how fresh it is, so if you were looking for a specific animal it'd help you identify if they were in the area recently or not. 4

Tom Cantine Posted March 19, 2025 Report Posted March 19, 2025 I don't know about collecting them as a resource, but it would be nice to see some kind of tracking mechanism. Occasionally you find dead animals and evidence they've been partially eaten, and sometimes you hear a wolf howl, but I'd like to see something like footprints (especially in snow or sand), droppings or especially a blood trail if you've wounded a deer or something. 2
HelixDragon Posted May 18, 2025 Report Posted May 18, 2025 I also am really behind the idea of being able to utilize livestock droppings as an ingredient for fertilizer, since its a practice that has been utilized for a very long time. Perhaps something to come from domesticated animals, you can use some tool in the livestock pens to sift the soil and remove the droppings and implant into your farmland.
