SubtleOrc Posted April 14, 2025 Report Posted April 14, 2025 I can see in the assets files (especially stoneshells.json) that loose stones and boulders will only generate with a min temp of -2 why on earth was this put in as a worldgen feature? why decide not to allow people to knap if they to start in cold climates?
Zane Mordien Posted April 16, 2025 Report Posted April 16, 2025 (edited) I play snowball earth all the time and I feel like i find stones on the ground. I don't remember if i find boulders on the surface or not. I find plenty if polar bears as well... no worries there Edited April 17, 2025 by Zane Mordien
SubtleOrc Posted April 28, 2025 Author Report Posted April 28, 2025 I play snowball earth all the time and I feel like i find stones on the ground. I specifically looked in the game file jsons and they have restrictions on climate on when they spawn.
V1ncent Posted April 28, 2025 Report Posted April 28, 2025 I feel the loose stones constantly regenerate every winter, and I could be wrong. The minimum temp restriction could be an annual average minimum applied to each region chunk, where the "warmer" region in a cold world can still have loose stone on the ground.
