I upgraded to 1.20.9 because I am having an unusual amount of mobs spawning both day and night. I was/am also having mobs spawn inside my house  which 100% lit correctly. I was under the impression that the 1.20.9 update fixed this, but I think in my case it may have made it even worse. Mobs are spawning in day and night in ridiculous numbers, especially Bowtorns.

Are there any console commands I can use to reduce this, or other tricks? It's really making playing the game unfun now.

I'm so confused about this. 1.20.8 was bad for spawns, for me. 1.20.9 fixed it all back to what I recognize at "normal VS behavior" for spawns, but so many people are having issues still! Very strange.

From what i read in Discord was that there were 2 Bugs in 1.20.8 that caused Daylight Spawns. In 1.20.9 one of them was fixed, but the other one (spawnbug when Temporal Stability is off) still exists. There is already a Fix and it will come with Version 1.20.10 along with other fixes which will be realeased sometime soon.

Got it, and since I play with temporal stability on as default, I thought the bug was fixed. Thanks for the clarification!

I should probably check Discord more. 😅

I don't know how fixed the first one is. I'm playing 1.20.9 with temporal stability turned on and I keep getting daytime spawns from the rifts. They spawn directly under the rift probably because it is dark under the rift I'm guessing. 1.20 so far has not been my favorite release with all of the indoor fog and mob spawns that are constantly messed up. I feel like it's the equivalent of windows Vista. Onward and upward though. Here's hoping the next release fixes these issues finally.
