Hello,

I read a lot of threads about this and found out so many contradiction opinions. So lets talk about this again please :)

I am completely new. Me and friend launch a dedicated server (from hosting provider) a week ago. We couldnt tweak any settings before start - our provider has some kind different default settings. I noticed that winter will last for us for about 55 real time hours (with 30 days per month). Its insane. Our spring and summer passed while we weren't even online (wrong server settings) - Its good now - switched.

So this worldconfig command should help us?  /worldconfig daysPerMonth 15

rotting time, crops grow, taming, will be stuck or change equally?

Thanks in advance.

Changing the dayspermonth will work. But something to keep in mind, the default is 9 days per month. Changing the dayspermonth will give the appearance of time going backwards.

In otherwords, if you were on 17 August, Year 2 on your server changing the dayspermonth to 15 days could effectively change the date itself to 5 December, Year 0 (rough number, not accurate). I had that situation when I made a map on a server of mine, and changed the date from 9 days per month to 30 days. We just finished winter on our second year, and the command plonked us back into a much longer winter, in the year 0.

I am aware of a date jump. I am not sure where we will land but i am more concerned about other things. The thread you mentioned @Dilan Rona I read. Thats one of the thread with lots of different information. So I am not sure if everything else will be ok or I would need to manually change crop speed etc.

Probably, but not in the direction you are thinking. If you are playing at a latitude where the winter is 5 months long, a default 9 day month of 7.2 hours per month is 36 IRL hours of winter.  One would expect winter in a 30 day month to last 36 IRL hours * 30/9 = 120 IRL hours. It's just math.

If you are looking to cheese it, just lengthen the calendar to expand the growing season, then as  your crops start getting winter-killed, shorten the days per month until it advances the calendar to next spring.
