Usedtea Posted May 31, 2025 Report Posted May 31, 2025 I'm installing new mods on a savefile I play with my brother through LAN, but I don't know how to access the backup should I ever need to.
dakko Posted June 1, 2025 Report Posted June 1, 2025 (edited) Personally, I manually take the savefile and copy it to another folder, adding a number to it to differentiate it from other copies that will be made at a later date. The default location for savefiles is in Roaming/VintagestoryData/Saves (and the corresponding map is in /Maps). There are also folders "Backup" and "BackupSaves", but I've never done backups from within the game. If that is what you've done, the file will probably be in one of those 2 folders. I'm sure there is a more elegant way of getting to Roaming, but I just navigate through the folders (hidden files & folders are viewable on my PC) - Users/[username]/AppData/Roaming.
