But you can fix it by add the tasks you forgot: Get eaten by an angry boar. Get mauled by a sneaky bear. Get ass torn by a pack of wolves. Fall into a hole and die. Fall in a deep hole in the rock, without pickaxe. Dear sir/madam, I assume the reader will be more than capable of accomplishing those tasks on his/her own and does not need guidance nor a reminder to complete said tasks. Furthermore, it is impossible to determine the amount of times per day the reader may need to perform said tasks, as some are more talented at performing said tasks than others. Krougal Posted August 9, 2025 Report Posted August 9, 2025 I did checklists for the first 4 days. After that it is really becomes more about reaching certain milestones vs discrete tasks on day X and there are too many variables at that point. I've put quite a bit more work into other sections as well, although it is far from done. All joking aside, I could use some feedback if anyone has the inclination. I am used to having a tech-writer make coherent documents out of the pages of drivel I crank out. I have been trying to cut down on the length of my rambling so as not to put the reader to sleep. 1

Hide contents Day 1 Checklist: 44 red or blue clay Pot, bowl, crockpot and crucible Storage vessel Shelter This should be moved to a First Night checklist. All of that can be accomplished by ending Day 1 digging a hole in a clay deposit. Spend the night clay forming and knapping flint tool heads (which stack to four btw) so that you are plenty equipped for the Day 2 Wanderings and explorings. 1

Yeah, I was trying to keep it simple, but the lists are kinda long, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to split day/night. I did mention that some tasks should be done during the day. Of course considering the recent discussions on difficulties finding clay, I start to wonder if my timeline is too aggressive for newer players. I used to be more picky about my first camp, but I also find myself frequently doing the same thing as you; just use the hole you are already making (don't do this in a peat bog unless you want to go down in flames). Also saves trips and is self-expanding since you'll be getting a lot of clay the first week anyway. 1
