Maple Syrup and Pancakes!

Make a maple tap with three sticks and flax twine. Tap a maple tree and place a bucket under the tap. Now wait three or four days for a full bucket of raw Maple syrup which is unconsumable until boiled down in a cook pot. You may have to boil down several buckets to get a jug of delicious maple syrup. Pancakes are basically grain flour, water and eggs.

I like this idea. They should be named "flapjacks" because that sounds cooler.

Maple syrup is a wonderful idea, and I can see it as a viable substitute for honey in cooking recipes.

This might be a bit too complex for our simple seraph (player character); I've whined about this in the past (one two three), but if our guy isn't smart enough to combine bread and jam together, then I just don't see him figuring out the complexities of making pancakes.

I was going to make this suggestion, as well. Tapping Maple trees for syrup would be a nice addition, though maybe with a metal tap rather than sticks.
