  1. Thank you! It seems a bit much, no? I fixed them, and now they kind of look like something out of Star Wars, so I guess it's alright. Still, it's a bit much...
  2. I thought the new large windmills only needed to be 15 blocks apart to avoid turbulence. I have mine spaced 24 blocks apart (from rotor to rotor) on the east and west sides of a building to power seperate machines, but am still getting reduced power. Why? How far apart do these need to be? Are there any mods that get rid of the turbulence? I spent a LOT of time and resources (and died several times falling off the towers, lol) setting this up...
  3. I had the same problem when I first started. It's because Shift is your sprint key. I switched mine to Q. In the previous version, I could still use Control to empty a bucket, since the update I now have to use Q.
  4. Not every book is in the R.A. You'll find some in other locations and from panning bony soil. The CarryOn mod will let you fill a chest and put it on your back. You can carry another chest, but then you'll move very slowly. The Elk has space for saddle bags.
  5. I think you have to set it on the ground now to cut the head off
  6. I was thinking something like this
  7. Even though it's unrealistic, I'd love to see studded leather. It was always my go-to in D&D.
  8. I find tons of clay all over, so I would say it's very common. In my world, red is everywhere, blue is usually by coastlines or slightly submerged on tiny islands, and fire is often under black coal in claystone, or occationally in bauxite deserts. I have not used Expanded Matter, so I can't speak to that. Have you tried going into god mode (creative) and flying around?
  9. I know in vanilla you can only chisel so much off. You may have chiseled too many layers. Even one voxel too many can undo the room. Could also be the wrong face on the inside. Try to chisel the opposite side instead to see if that works. Otherwise, I'm not sure. I use a mod that keeps a chiseled room viable.
  10. There are some in story locations
  11. Lol, fixed in the update, I believe. 1.22.2. Unless you are running 1.22.2 and it's still broken...
  12. I believe you have to get rid of or replace all grass/soil blocks that don't have crops planted on them with another type of material (stone, packed dirt, rammed earth)
  13. Hard to tell from that picture. Are they loud and lighter colored than normal water? You could try putting normal water next to it to see if it looks the same. https://m.youtube.com/shorts/NYrANKFeU7I
  14. Sometimes. We're coming out of winter in Wisconsin, but going back into it in-game. Winter is good for base expansion/chiseling, spelunking/mining, finding a location for a seconday base, getting farm animal generations up, smithing. I slowed down the time rate to 1/4 normal and increased the days to 30 per month, but with winter, I speed time up at night and slow it back down during the day. I recently finished a third base, and am spending a lot of my time stocking everything up there.
  15. Have you ever had a really physical job? I used to eat 5000 calories a day. Farming, construction, carpentry, blacksmithing, lumberjacking, hiking through mountains all take a LOT of fuel. I've eaten 6lbs of meat in one sitting (Pampa Gaucho Brazillian rodizio-style steakhouse, highly recommend, lol) A guy I used to work with ate 8000 - 9000 calories everyday (he was 6'7" 280lbs). I'd have to say it's fairly realistic the amount of food we have to consume in the game for what we have to do to survive and thrive.
  16. Every piece you add takes away from the power produced by your sails. Large gears take a lot compared to small gears. Somebody made a video explaining it, I'll see if I can find it.
  17. It does not. Did you feed them enough portions?
  18. There is a mod that causes that (not sure which one). Try to harvest, save and exit (don't close out of the game completely), then reload. Should fix it.
  19. I believe only undiscovered areas will have the new things, including the dungeons, if I understand correctly.
  20. Man, that's a LOT of stuff! Great job!
  21. I seem to find it more in desert areas or small islands/close to water. I'm not sure if there's any rhyme or reason to finding it. Prospect a LOT, and check under water, too. My next search is for anthracite. If I can find some of that close to my base, that'll be everything in the game. (I just found graphite, the last of the rare ores that don't do anything, but I NEED to collect anyway, lol.)
