ThatTonybo Posted August 23, 2025 Report Posted August 23, 2025 Hello! First post here on the forums, still pretty new to this game. This is about my 8th world I've started, took 5 attempts before I survived the first day, and a couple more to learn. I had another world where I got to copper age, but it took until winter, so I decided to start a new world with my learnt experience and to properly enjoy the game. Anyway, here's my house I've just finished up: I'm not really an experienced builder, but had a lot of fun building this little cottage/home for myself. The outside features a little farm, where I'm in the progress of growing some flax, spelt and other veggies I've found/bought seeds for, as well as a little shed, which I've been using for storage of excess materials, I did intend to use it as a blacksmith (hence the fireplace) but I'm building a separate building for that now. Inside is where I focused way too much on. Haven't learnt to chisel yet, but I've used heaps of beams and decorated as best as I can. I do have a few mods installed as well, like one that lets me put way more stuff on the bookshelves. I'll let the pictures show (turned up to high FOV for screenshots), but I particularly love my kitchen... Downstairs, I've got my food cellar (looking a bit empty, better change that soon... been too focused on building) and my storage room: Still in the copper age, just found my first bits of tin though so we're moving ahead! Not too sure what to build next/work on, but I'm having great fun and really enjoying the process. What a wonderful game this is, haven't been addicted to something so much in so long Maybe I'll build a barn next, get some animals. Or a dock, haven't explored out into the sea yet... ~ Tony 21 1 3

You're addicted already. Welcome to the insanity. Btw, I think it took me a half-dozen worlds before I started my first "forever" world run. 1

I'm not even sure if this will be a 'forever' run, but I am trying to get to winter, properly starting to store some meals and such. And figure out what the hell I'm doing during winter too.
Maelstrom Posted August 26, 2025 Report Posted August 26, 2025 I did the same. My last test world I made it through a winter and the next summer to open up the late game mechanics (steel making first introducted in 1.15) which was temporary "test world" number 6 or 8. 1
ThatTonybo Posted August 30, 2025 Author Report Posted August 30, 2025 Couple more pictures along my adventures... made a bakery, baking a heap of bread for a long journey. Setting off on that journey in my new sailboat, which is responsible for local deforestation around my house, haha And found some bunnies along the way! 7
