1x1 Ladder Tunnel

Hi All -

Trying to build an attic and have found that I can climb UP a ladder in a 1x1 opening but climbing down the same ladder isn't possible. Am I missing something in the controls here or is this a limitation of the game?

try holding shift

as stroam said you need to hold the crouch button for that, if you have more space going down works normaly but in a 1x1 hole with a ladder in it crouching is the only way. (btw having shift for crouch and strg for running is really strange, first thing i changed was swapping those.)
