I can't read!

I had this problem since 1.20, and I seen many forums explaining the problem, but none of them offer a solution.

YES, they are history books found in Dungeons.

They aren't added to the journal.

Has anyone found a solution?

By dungeon, do you mean the underground ruins? I think there's a ruin or two that have bugged lore books, in that you can try to read the book but will get no lore entry. Otherwise, it's likely because you've already unlocked whatever lore that book had to offer, so it won't give you anything when you try to read it.

To my knowlage these are just books, without lore, which you cant read. Image rooten books and blank one, bleached empty.
They are still fine to fill bookshelved for look ~

Yes, i found them at underground ruins. There is a lore book that doesn´t add to my journal (I took it from Creative mode and tried to read it in survival, could it be that?)

It could be that, yes. Is there any flavor text when you mouse over the book item? Generally, lore books/scrolls have a bit of flavor text to indicate the contents(ie, someone's diary, research notes, a story passed down for others to read, etc).

Well, apparently it was true, if at any point in your game you use /gm 2, you can no longer read or add history books to your journal.

Are you sure? I just did a quick and dirty test in the Resonance Archive and was able to add books to my journal.
