Noticed and issue with Combat Overhaul (not sure should i post it here or at CO post since XSkills and CO should be compatible?) 
Better Arrows (addon for CO) doesn't work with Archery skills) Bodkin/Serrated/Blunt arrows don't receive bonus damage.

reading through the thread, I understand the afforestation skill affects seed drops on breaking leaves, not saplings.
but the description has said "saplings" since '21?  please fix for the sake of avoiding confusion.

Chain and gambeson, so long as you don't wear any leg armor. I think maybe brigandine? I wish the skill were a little lenient on it

I just edited the "all rounder" skill to give me 9 additional specializations instead of 1.

That's not what I meant. I know the specializations can be added in the config. I meant stuff like the farming crops/seeds drops abilities, or the miner stone/ore/gem perks on tier 3

Those requirements you are mentioning *are* specializations, not classes. But you can probably remove the requirements for specific skills in the config.

My bad, must've misunderstood due to the previous response mentioning the "all rounder" skill, and in code they are called "specialisationLimit" as well

I tried to look into the config files, modded Valheim before, but I can't figure out which part of the file is responsible for those locks
Is there a chance I need to edit any of the zipped mod files themselves? I don't want to horribly break something on accident

xleveling.json is located in \AppData\Roaming\VintagestoryData\ModConfig\XLeveling

Hey i uploaded a new version. Since there seems to be no reported crashes i decided to release this as the stable 0.4 version with following changes:

Changes:

  • added a expEquation configuration for skills.
  • added a hint which key you can use to use the strong back ability

Balance:

  • increased the base experience gain for cooking by 50%
  • the cooking base experience is now also multiplied with the amount of ingredients you use to cook(which was the intention in the first place but i have forgot to implement it)
  • additional you receive a 10% bonus experience for every different ingredient you use(so you can get 30% more experience for cooking a rice-flax porridge with mashed potatoes and cranberries than cooking a hefty readmeat stew)
  • in total you now receive up to 7.8 times the cooking experience
  • doubled the default experience you need to level up survival, you need to remove the survival config file or at least the exp section of it so this changes can be applied. of course you can also left it as it is but i felt like it leveled to fast in compared with the other skills

API:

  • fixed: durability abilities always triggering when a durability ability was picked

Error Report: Error prevents world loading after updating

 

Getting this error upon start up after updating from 8.16 to 8.19 

I'm realizing now this is because Xlib has not been updated as well. I tried the newest version of Xlib but it did not work. 

 

[Error] [xlib] Please restart the game. The mod's dIl was already loaded and cannot be reloaded. Most likely cause is switching mod versions after already playing one world.

Other rare causes include two mods with .dils with the same name

Did you ever figure out what the issue with this is? I'm getting the same message despite everything loading, haven't found anything in game yet that might be a problem.

First off i play with few people on game Ver. 1.20.4 - (XSkills 0.8.17).
Second i need a bit better description what the Finishing Touch does, for harder things like: Plates and everything that needs more than 2 ingots?
I keep having issues with skills not functioning after reloading the Server. (Yes we play on 1.20.4, No we are not about to update the server, Yes we have a reason).
And for example - the skills like: Finishing Touch, Metal Recovery has to be reset by me (I have to get blackout Drunk) and (I am a Blacksmith/Miner) so i have to get myself drunk before every smithing and mining session on monday. (Had to set the time out to 1 second because it takes like 80 sec. to get drunk enough and i have 5 needed skills.)
Mining because Veinminer, Blaster, Crystal Seeker are broken too after restarting the server.

EDIT: i hight have had a stroke now that i read this back...

Hi i am using this mod and was just wondering what decides the quality of the item i made, i have seen that if you have it hot and cool it in water it get better but is it just higher chanse of getting better quality or is it garantied. as i made some leggings and it became epic quality but the chest armour was made with the same heating became common
