I was watching this video [linked at the end], that showed how you can use a water wheel to power a bellows system for making a rudimentary blast furnace. I feel like making something like this in game could be cool as like a step above a bloomery and you wouldn't need to destroy it like a bloomery. I also think if a blast furnace like this is added, you could add a brick laying mini game similar to that of knapping, moulding, smithing etc. like you place a fire brick on the ground and you pick bloomery or blast furnace (or maybe more things if they get added). and you can rotate and place the bricks and maybe put clay or mortar in-between each layer. also if individual making and placing bricks like this becomes a bigger part of the game, it might be nice to have a frame or something similar you can use to speed up the process of mass production.

I saw they put in the plan to add in simple industrial era technology (i imagine like steam engines) but i really hope they expand on using mechanical power for the use of manufacturing to be really helpful before doing anything like that. Im thinking things like saw mills, rope and pully systems, printing presses maybe. i also hope they add more medival style sources of power like water wheels or maybe even those hamster wheel style things you walk inside, and also the beast of burden style ones.

The treadmill crane? That would be pretty cool. Not really sure what one would use it for though. Maybe it's something best installed in a mine, so you can place a load of rock and ore on it and haul it all out in one load, rather than need to make multiple trips?
