Echo Weaver Posted October 18, 2025 Report Posted October 18, 2025 The traps in Primitive Survival are incredibly well-done. Highly recommended. I've been using them a lot. 1

And pitfall traps are also vanilla, being just big holes in the ground. But yeah, what those other two said 1
Echo Weaver Posted October 24, 2025 Report Posted October 24, 2025 Right. Without Primitive Survival, I still make pit traps. The ones in Primitive Survival can be hidden by covering with dirt and lined with spikes or whatnot. Covering pit traps with dirt makes vanilla animals and some modded animals mildly attracted to them and more likely to fall in. Not all modded animals though. I didn't know about the Locust Nest spikes mentioned by @Professor Dragon, but it's quite logical in retrospect. I'll try this when I go back to my Vanilla+ game. 1
Bumber Posted October 24, 2025 Report Posted October 24, 2025 (edited) The spikes aren't good at hurting stuff, last I checked. You're better off with fall damage or pit kilns. (Those damage loot, of course.) Edited October 24, 2025 by Bumber 2
