I can't tell if this is just me being stupid, but I can't figure out how to update to 1.21 on mac. (I tend to go through phases of being obsessed with something and playing it constantly and then not picking it up again for months, so I haven't played since 1.20. When I open VintageStory, there's a popup in the upper left corner that says "Version 1.21.5 now available, click here to go to downloads page. Clicking that takes me to the downloads page on the website, which just has the stuff to download the whole game again, not update the existing game. I tried doing that as a last resort since I couldn't find any instructions on how to update that actually made sense based on what I was seeing, but the new version doesn't open. I saw on the "Installing the Game on MacOS" wiki page that the location of the game data folder has changed, does that have something to with it? How do I fix this? I just wanna update my game T-T

I do not own or use a Mac, but you should be able to install the full game again if you can't use the update. It doesn't hurt your game at all. The saves and your settings are not impacted if you reinstall the game.

It sort of sounds like you tried this, but I don't know why it wouldn't work as normal. Even if it went to a new location that location should run the game.

Got the reinstalled version working! 1.21 requires .net 8 instead of .net 7, apparently. Still would like to not have to reinstall every time there's an update.
