bosniak3 Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 I'd like to see in the future more mob sounds, espiecially for shivers. I imagine doing something in the dark and in one moment I get shivers down my spine by shiver's scream indicating it saw me and is ready to attack me. This could work for both: signal that shiver saw the player and one more way to scare the players when they doesn't expect that. You can add lore to why shivers scream and doesn't try to stealth you, for example they still have human side and try to warn you or just scream like other animals because of primal instinct, it's up to players and theorists.
Diff Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 Most creatures do have an aggro noise that I believe is used when they notice you. The aggro sound for shivers is a kinda choked growl. Some creatures don't though, bowtorn stay silent and just focus on sniping you.
LadyWYT Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 Yeah, as @Diff already noted, shivers have distinct noises they make when they notice the player. Their idle noise is a weird clicking sound, unless they're having a convulsive fit(in which case they're making a raspy choking sound). When they've noticed a player, they make raspy growls or snarls.
bosniak3 Posted December 18, 2025 Author Report Posted December 18, 2025 Ok, good to know that this means they noticed the player, but still I imagine they can make more frightening noices
LadyWYT Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 Honestly the more frightening noises are the ones you typically don't get to hear, since they have a rather large aggro range. They will bonk their heads against the ground as an idle, as well as stand up on their hind legs(which makes no noise at all).
