Nathan Flaminio Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 I put salt blocks (licks) on fence posts in my goat, sheep, and elk enclosures just for aesthetics. The goat and elk blocks are still there, but the sheep block is gone for the second time. Are they eating it, or is it just de-spawning for some reason?
Diff Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 I set up a two pens with way too many goats, one with a single halite block, one with the pen built out of halite blocks, sped up time, set the rain to the highest level, and let the game run for a month from July to August, but all salt blocks are still intact. I'm not sure where your salt's gone. 1
BlackMoonHowling Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 That’s definitely strange, it would be cool to be able to make salt licks in game though with some sort of benefit for the animals 2
Steel General Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 If you play with stone instability, I'd guess the block of halite was unstable, something happened to update it, and it fell through the fence, the dirt, any cobblestone, and is now resting on top of the bedrock. I used to do the same, and I liked to set a slab of halite in my kitchen for the cookfires to be on, but unstable stone has made that a tricky proposition. 3
