Welcome to the forums!

As LadyWYT said, you can enable and disable this information overlay via the settings options. There's also a keybind for that, which defaults to CTRL + B. With that, you can toggle this overlay. In addition to that, you can use CTRL + N to toggle the usage overlay, which tells you what options you have to interact with a block you look at.
