MANEL190 Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 SO, i was in my world peacefully planting while taking care of my animals and when i got inside my house it started raining, foul me though. "Hell yea i dont have to water my plants tomorrow" Then i heard the loud thunder on the side off my house. I didn't give a dam at the moment but at the next morning i saw ALL my 2nd generation chickens dead because of the thunder. I was destroyed inside, but then i saw hope in 3 fertile eggs in their nest. Now here comes the reason I'm writing this topic here, how do i force one of the 2 random chickens i kidnapped to turn into the eggs foster mom?

You could try removing all the other nests but that one, then keep your remaining chickens fed in the hopes that one sits on the nest. Worst case scenario, you'll have to start over from scratch, but at least generation 2 is fairly easy to achieve. More importantly though, I'd recommend building a lightning rod near your chicken coop in order to keep them safe from further incidents. 1
Dilan Rona Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 Come back here again after your Seraph got zapped by lightning, and you somehow managed to survive... Cause thats what happened to me on one world that was freshly generated. Even the vision seemed frazzled for a few min.
pigfood Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 (edited) Chickens are extremely fragile. A lightning rod is mandatory, or there is a pretty high chance that they will get killed in lightning storms sooner or later (lightning strikes have a large AOE). Your new hens should tend to existing eggs, if they are in henboxes. Eggs outside of henboxes won't hatch. Edited January 10 by pigfood
