KraftyKerman Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 Running a modded server with portainer on truenas. Everyone trying to log on (including me on the local network) gets the same error. My router doesn't have wpnp so I know it isn't that. I tripple checked i set up port forwarding. It was working just fine until the server shut down from a power outage. No whitelist or blacklist, just password. I know many people have brought this up and the fix is to log on using the host computer, but that's not really an option on a truenas server. I come here to seek help because I've given up. 1
Zane Mordien Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 I run a server on Truenas in my house and I've had this issue. Are you running it as an "APP" or "Container"? I assume it must be a container the way you stated it but just to clarify. I run it as an APP so if you want I can share how I do that successfully.
Zane Mordien Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 (edited) @KraftyKerman One quick thought, have you confirmed everything matches in the server config file? This is definately an error I get when I have something off in the server configuration. I run several VS servers and you have to make sure the port matches in the config file even if you changed it in the setup when you installed the server. Edited February 4 by Zane Mordien
KraftyKerman Posted February 5 Author Report Posted February 5 @Zane Mordien I am running it as a container in a stack with portainer. I would be very interested in how to run it as an app. I set everything to be through port 42420. I tripple checked that every file in the data folder matched that, checked that the .yaml and container matched, and the port forwarding matched as well.

I'm working from home Friday, so I will put something together tomorrow. Which version of Truenas are you running? I have one running in TrueNas Scale and one in the newer TrueNas. The set up is a little different in each.
