The problem with the clay oven: I put four pieces of dough in it, all four items heat up to 95-85 degrees, and then the heating stops (I assume this is because the first piece of dough placed in the oven exceeds 100 degrees). Only this first piece of dough turns into bread, while the rest remain slightly heated and that's it. The first piece may char, but the remaining three will still be dough. In fact, the oven's capacity for baking bread has decreased fourfold.

There are 87 mods in total, but two main ones are responsible for cooking: “A Culinary Artillery Experimental” and “Expanded Foods.” I checked both of them by process of elimination—it's not them.

There is a mod called “Acorns” and a patch for it called “Easy Acorns,” but the problem existed before I installed them.

There are also mods (I won't list all 87, of course, but I will list the global ones or those related to cooking):

  • Alchemy
  • Expanded Matter
  • “Gourmand”
  • “Foragers Gamble” + “Gourmand's Gamble”
  • “Hydrate Or Diedrate”
  • “Novelty!”
  • “Primitive Survival”
  • “Rustbound Magic”
  • “Unofficial Bugfixes”

Has anyone encountered this before?

The screenshot shows that there is already a perfectly baked loaf of bread and three pieces of warm dough.

How many pieces of fire wood do you use to heat up the oven? It can fit up to six.

somewhat implies that you know, but just to be sure, I mention it.

Does the problem occur without any mods?

If no one else with this experience comes forward, you can apply a binary search to find out which mod is causing this.

In this case, I used three logs—usually that's enough to bake something twice.

I understand that. But has anyone else encountered this before?

Are there any mods related to temperature in general, and not cooking specifically?

This does not occur with the mod alone, so it is a compatibility issue rather than a bug in my own mod. As I say in the description, the mod is very intrusive by nature and likely to cause problems when used with other mods. I will see if I can fix the issue.

I've installed all of the listed mods and I cannot reproduce the issue. The bread all bakes normally. If you haven't done so, make sure your mods are up to date. If you have any other mods that may affect cooking, please share them.

I unsubscribed from the mod page. Yes, it's because of mod (in)compatibility.

Using the same binary method, I found five mods (not counting this) that cause this bug. These five mods are related to each other. Here is the list:

  • XLib
  • XSkills
  • xSkills Gilded
  • Dear ImGui

It's very strange, to be honest, but I checked by removing these mods and leaving "Unofficial Bugfixes" - the bug disappeared.

I have uploaded the new release 0.0.10 to resolve this incompatibility by disabling the patch that fixed baking items in an oven having their freshness fully restored. It was caused by XSkills containing code that saved and restored only the first item in the oven, not a bug in either mod.

It is a simple case of two mods attempting to modify the same thing, and in this case I have chosen to just turn it off on my side.
