Vintage Grampa Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM (edited) I want to keep playing in my 1.21.6 world, but I also want to test drive 1.22. I don't want to screw anything up! How should I install 1.22 so that it doesn't overwrite my 1.21.6 executables or world/mods? 1.21.6 files are here: /home/<me>/.local/share/vintagestory 1.21.6 world and mod files are here: /home/,me>/.config/VintagestoryData Edited yesterday at 12:10 AM by Vintage Grampa
Solution idiomcritter Posted yesterday at 12:16 AM Solution Report Posted yesterday at 12:16 AM (edited) i've been using XurxoMF launcher to help manage windows multiple VS versions. supposed to work also under linux, and they have a discord to ask questions... I've not used his mod that containerizes with docker (under linux), that might be worth checking? Edited yesterday at 12:21 AM by idiomcritter
Vintage Grampa Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Thanks for that! The XurxoMF launcher seems to be working. I pointed it at my current 1.21.6 world, which it opened as normal using the launcher. All the mods are there. Now I'm creating a new installation for 1.22-RC2. I hope links are acceptable. Here is the Linux launcher page: https://vsldocs.xurxomf.xyz/get-started/installation/linux
