Dackeltier
I wish so much that you could catch animals with lines or traps. I find it very difficult to catch animals
Sengorn_Leopard
Snares for smaller animals and gin traps for larger ones would be convenient. Metallic gin traps catching tougher prey would be a nice progression mechanic, and using crops to lead rabbits to a snare for passive meat farming early game
AlteOgre
Ye, obviously, what Sengorn_Leopard says. Until that time, practise your spear throwing skills early in the game, and use the terrain to your advantage. Happy hunting!
Yukihira_S
Metallic gin traps are cool. Anyway, in the early game I would be happy with punji barriers and pits. More precisely: barriers can be made by some sticks (or bamboos) sharpened with a knife and placed on a dirt block.
Yukihira_S
Here we have an excellent example of a pit trap that can be crafted in game by using sticks, grass and eventually some cordage.
