I recently got my elk and started the journey towards the second story location. However, trying to load the chunks of the second story location immediately crashes my game to desktop. I tried using repair mode and loading them this way but the result is still the same with a crash to desktop. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem and/or knows how to resolve this.

I can't say that I've had this issue, but then again I've not been to the second chapter locations in a hot minute. Without more information though, it's hard to say what could be causing the crash. Any mods in use? Game version? OS? Exact location you were trying to visit? I'm not the best at reading crash reports/logs, but someone else may be able to decipher them if you post them.

Ever since 1.22 has been released, I have been having issues.  I have been through all of the mods and now the game loads fine without any errors.  However my world freezes and disconnects me from server stating too many errors detected.

My main Client Log file says the following:

[Error] Exception: Field not found: 'Vintagestory.API.Common.Entities.Entity.Pos'.
at MonoMod.Core.Interop.CoreCLR.V60.InvokeCompileMethod(IntPtr functionPtr, IntPtr thisPtr, IntPtr corJitInfo, CORINFO_METHOD_INFO* methodInfo, UInt32 flags, Byte** nativeEntry, UInt32* nativeSizeOfCode)
 

I don't know if the game is leaking memory as it seems to do with entities.

Yeah I was looking through the crash report and it seems that with the new update to forges, the different fuel sources and model, the game is not able to recognize what the original fuel source is/how it was coded within the forge at the story location so it simply just implodes when I load whichever chunk it's in.

They probably need to do a quick 1.22 parity pass through the story locations, I've noticed.
There's a few features that were changed/updated, but that haven't changed in the story locations.
Berry bushes still being the legacy bush type, the forges facing the wrong way, the aged roofing no longer matching with the aged planks beneath, the ladders all being oak, bellows missing from the forge area, armour stands used instead of mannequins in one area.
