As the title says, I have a fairly large pack of mods that I've made to play with friends (95 mods in total) and I use Simple VS Manager to help me find which ones are mostly compatible with my version (1.21.5). All of the mods work fine on my end, no crashing or item bugs, the client logs used to say there were errors but no longer do. I didn't think that would be a big deal since, yanno, it didn't effect gameplay on my end so I assumed it would be fine when my partner would join.

However there are a couple issues that are consistent:

-Whenever she attempts to load into the LAN game after a fresh reinstall, it says she's missing 88 mods but there are 95 mods in total. I gave her my mods folder and told her to download from there, and she can get in perfectly fine. However the issues stated below happen

-When she joins in (tall lupine with stats) she is invisible for me until she rejoins. I can see her nametag and my crosshair is red when I hover over her, but I can't see anything for the model.

-Whenever she tries to use the Combat Overhaul weapons, they are either a white square with question marks over it, or she can see them but she cannot use them at all, no animations and no damage dealt.

I will attach the screenshots of all of the mods we have.
(The error triangles are just "This mod isn't marked as compatible with this version of Vintage Story but still might work")

TLDR: VS version 1.21.5 with mods working for host but not working as well for other player

Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately I don't really have much advice to offer here, as there's nothing that really stands out as being an issue. I know that the invisible player model was an issue in older versions of the game, so I'm not sure that's a mod problem as much as it is just a bug in an older game version. The white squares with question marks are missing textures, suggesting that there's a missing dependency or some other issue causing problems with models and textures.

The only thing I can think to check is to make sure that your friend installed the mods in the correct folder It's been a while since I played over LAN, but the mods, I'm pretty sure, need to go into the specific server folder in the ModsByServer folder, and not the Mods folder itself. If you put them into the Mods folder, they'll work fine in singleplayer worlds, but only the client-side mods will work in multiplayer, unless your friend is the one hosting. At least, I'm pretty sure. Normally, the client will download and install mods from the database automatically when you first join a modded server, however, some of the mods you have are no longer on the database, so this unfortunately isn't an option.

In any case, I'm guessing that's probably why the game is working fine on your end, but not on your friend's machine.
