CherryCronut Posted July 21 Report Posted July 21 I was sailing back home after clearing out Resonance Archives for the first time (awesome dungeon btw), but then my game crashed due to lack of memory (it's literally the first time it happened on this 140 hours save). I log back in and I'm in the middle of the sea and my boat is gone. I used creative mode to fly and look for my boat but to no awail. I stashed all of my finds in it and some equipment for the travel (namely pots, oven some flour and beans). I also put the boss drop in one of the crates. I quickly realised that it's impossible to retrieve my boat and that everything in it is gone for good which kinda sucks but I decided to just spawn a new boat, the boss drop and some of the loot that I remember. Also all of my coins were on that boat (300 something of them :^)) so I spawned them too. But now when I try to talk to the treasure hunter he doesnt give me location of the Lazaret and he doesnt give me an elk. It's like the spawned stuff doesn't work. Is it the case?
CherryCronut Posted July 21 Author Report Posted July 21 I just read through the new update changelogs and saw people saying that they can't use traders after the update, I also couldn't do that so I guess my problem relates to that bug
LadyWYT Posted July 21 Report Posted July 21 I'm guessing what happened is that when your game crashed, it "reset" your progress back to some point prior to completing the Resonance Archives, so the game is marking your player character as not having explored the location. In which case, having the items in your inventory isn't good enough since you've technically not completed the area, at least as far as the game is concerned. Fixing it should be a simple as returning to the Archive library and interacting with the resonator. You can use teleport commands and creative/spectator mode to bypass obstacles as needed. Reading the dialogue isn't necessary(though if you haven't read it I would highly recommend doing so--dialogue and other writing often has important information or context about other things), but do make sure you click through the main message anyway so that it counts as being listened to. From there, you should be able to exit the Archive and speak to the trader in order to receive directions to the Lazaret and an opportunity to buy an elk. Do make sure that it's the same treasure hunter that you spoke to for the Archive though, since the quests are specific to the individual trader and not the generic trader type.
CherryCronut Posted July 21 Author Report Posted July 21 Thanks for the help, the devs released hotfix 5 and it fixed my issue, the trader sold me the elk and gave me a letter 1
