Stavros Mitchell
Hi my wife and I both bought the game and would like to play together. We tried open to lan, but the issue is we might play in different times and once the host game is off she cannot connect. So i figures i could run this: Dedicated Servers on Windows Enter the games application folder, by default that is %appdata%/VintageStory Start VintagestoryServer.exe Only issue is when i click on it i get: Dedicated Server now running on Port 42420 all all IPS Master Server responce status: no_connect Could not register to master server, connection probably blocked by firewall. Do i still need to do port forwarding if its only for internal? Also looking at paid host, is there one preferred and is it as simple as click on the vintage story and they do the rest thanks for all the help
Stroam
You can make a server private so that it doesn't show up in the list and require a whitelist that only allows them to access it. Of course the hosting computer has to always be running. For hosting options I can't help you but there are a bunch of good servers out there already. You can find more information for setting up your own server here. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=Setting_up_a_Multiplayer_Server
