Gutsherr3
Hi there, I lost all my chicken (up to generation 4) to a wolf directly spawning in the enclosure for the second time today. The enclosure is surrounded by a three block high wall and is fully lit so Drifters no longer spawn in my enclosures. The problem is that the wolves spawn in the light. Now I wonder if I can prevent spawning by laying out a stable with slaps. Then no more creatures should spawn. But will my chickens still reproduce? The chicks have to spawn too. Would that still work? What other option do I have to prevent wolves from spawning in my enclosures? Maike
Streetwind
I was told once that wolves have fixed spawn locations. If your enclosure is built so that a wolf spawns inside of it, then the only chance you have is probably to simply rebuild the enclosure somewhere else. (You could also keep the current enclosure to keep farming the wolves there for hides and meat...)
Gutsherr3
Hi Streetwind, I don´t like that. So I have to find another Place for my stable, but cannot be sure if there could spawn a wolf, too. Maike
Streetwind
Eh, they're actually very rare. I've played hundreds of hours of VS over various different worlds, and I never had a wolf spawn any closer than 100 blocks from my base. Hitting the spawn point so precisely that you have it inside a fenced enclosure is like winning the lottery. Have you considered playing...?
