Rykuta Maxwell Posted January 26, 2021 Report Posted January 26, 2021 Is there a way to disable the temporal stability mechanic without preventing temporal storms from appearing? The objective here is to disable the arbitrary 'area based' stability but keep the 'incoming wave of spoopy stuff' mechanic intact in order to keep the rust world mechanics as well as have a reason to build defenses / armor / weapons. The config when creating a server does not disable the temporal storm option when disabling temporal stability; but it seems that the former cannot function without the later.
Streetwind Posted January 26, 2021 Report Posted January 26, 2021 Correct, they are linked. You cannot have storms without the underlying temporal stability mechanic.
Rykuta Maxwell Posted January 27, 2021 Author Report Posted January 27, 2021 Hmm; bummer. It seems odd that you can't configure a scenario in which stability is always 100% unless a storm hits; in which case it drops to 25% and only in those scenarios
