  1. much love to all involved on the guide. been playing great on deck since about a week ago around the time steamOS 3.8.10 and up were pushed out. something is up with refresh rate / fps limit / vsync, I can't get the game to keep a stable fps or frametime anymore. regardless of how low ingame settings are, or every combination of fps limit, vsync on or off etc, or changing allow tearing / disable frame limit on the steam options, the fps always dips by 2 (40 -> 38 etc) or gets cut in half which is making me think it's for sure vsync related. All I can find is that 3.8.10 has had some recent changes to graphics drivers and how this setting works, but no way so far to get the game running smooth. I've gone down the rabbit hole and added to gaming mode launch option the env variable: "run" "--env=MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=zink" "--branch=stable"......, but that just resulted in heavy graphics artifacts and no change to display stability. regardless of if watching the fps and frame time with the ingame debug or deck gamescope overlay, it's like the steam deck display isn't understanding the fps limit in game OR through gamescope and always ends up with a limit above (ex 41 when fps limit is 40). posting here as this seems to be a niche issue, not really sure if other games have been hit and no clue how long I'll have to wait for some random other steamOS update to affect this. any ideas are great lol. edit: I was able to roll back from 3.8.13 to 3.7.20 with the following command run from desktop mode Konsole: sudo atomupd-manager custom-update 3.7.20 Back to a steady 40fps now, no other changes done.
