  1. Hey folks! Is there a way to remove or transform the Devastation Area? Or at least the ugly halo it casts? I did not do the story for that area so I dont know if "beating" it will transform it. If not, is there a world edit way to do it? Regards

    Trader Spawn

Hey folks! Simple question: Do Traders spawned via creative despawn? I want to populate my town with Traders and I was wondering whether they stay and even might use stalls/houses/wagons I built for them. Regards
  3. Yeah thats what I thought. I am very open to modding and more realism/immersion. But there has to be some limit. I wouldnt mind like 5-10 new tree species overall. Spices things up enough. Well at least the mod shows its possible. Maybe my own modding gives birth to something more in tune with vanilla. Kinda like Vanilla+ feel coz this game is already a masterpeace on its own. Very uncommon these days in gaming.
  4. Well, seems like I overlooked a giant mod lol. Gotta test it. Hope its not overwhelming. I like to play close to Vanilla. Thanks, ill give it a try
  5. [please insert greeting according to your time zone :P) folks! I really like forests in this game, way better than in you-know-which-game! But still thinking there's room for improvement. Specifically I'd like to have a varied age of trees. Not necessarily a complex stage progression but simply a worldgen thingy. E.g. give each tree species a "small" version like the fruit trees with a 1/4 thick block. Maybe even a 1/2 version for more variety. These young trees could also maybe just drop firewood/sticks instead of logs or a "small" log variety usable for the existing palisades or a replacement for the fairly large logs needed for the rough fence etc. Besides, this worldgen should also include a percentage for spawn rate of these smaller ones. Birch trees are very rare to find in reality with a stem measuring 1m diameter. For these species there could be a 70/30 ratio for small/large individuals. Also: Maybe include beech trees as new species? Its basically one of the most common trees found in northern hemisphere. Would spice up the temperate climate zones. I'm trying to learn modding this game, maybe I come up with a proper mod for this :).
  6. Evening lads! Is one of the shader mods currently listed working for 1.20.x? I tested 2 of them and either crashed my game while loading a save. Is it possible we might get shader mods in the quality of the other block game's in the future?

  7. My buddy and me are using a lava pit. Its kinda cheaty but we added one lava block in creative with a trapdoor on top. We didn't want do just dump it in some water and have it flowing there. Besides, its fairly rare to dump something away because almost anything has some use.
  8. Whats the point of gold/silver tools then? Both as equally useless in real world. Honestly, I'd like to give zinc more use by simply letting me make more things out of brass. It is already in game, why not use it further? Not necessarily tools but you could do chutes (for aesthetic reasons eg) out of brass.
  9. Hello fellow Vintarians! Does anybody know whether animals (friendly and enemy alike) spawn on land/islands generated via WorldEdit? Esp. if there was no land before edit (-> Ocean)? Drifters definitely do so. Regards
  10. Hey Vintarians! Is it just me or is the World Editor Mode completely unable to edit any kind of Water except fill out? I cant even remove filled in water with it and im Stuck with water not even possible to fill by hand. I just wanted to make a pond and now Im stuck with an unusable piece of land. You know any tipps/tricks to handle water with World Editor Mode? Regards
  11. Hey! Older post but I'm still replying. I'm with you. An option to stop seasonal map change would be great. Also don't like the look of unupdated chunks. Maybe just two options like "seasonal change" and "all-summer" or so. For the roads: I already thought of something like painting on maps. Nothing fancy. Maybe just pixel by pixel. So you could mark things yourself, not just like roads but also circles of e.g. "dangerous" areas or so. I would like paths/roads also to be more visible on map but the problem with automatically rendered paths will be to find a colour to be visible on all surfaces. Maybe full white or black. Red or yellow are not fitting. Those colours are more fitting to borders and such besides. Still, I would find it quite immersion breaking to have roads rendered in bright colours whereas buildings and such would just be rendered as of now. I like to see my village/town rendered on the map. A solid bright red/white/black/... line between houses would infuriate me :D. So I think a painting-option added next to the existing markes would be a solution for everyone.
