  1. Awesome! Yes, with your examples as well, their sounds are mostly their presence to us. Addition of more natural ambience would be in line with the immersive experience of Vintage Story IMO.
  2. When I'm not busy building, it's nice to just take in the ambience. I'm always focused on sounds, and I love the rustling of leaves on a windy day, or the patter of rain on the forest roof. These details play with our imagination. Would be awesome to hear a blackbird's song echoing at early dawn, a chorus of birds in the forest, or a bird of prey out on the plains. That's all
  3. It's what they do. In the game. I thought I was safe on the roof, only to see the bear doing the same as me: scurrying up the rope ladder, running animation and all. The bear neatly climbs down if I get out the front door. Maybe bears shouldn't be able to use the ladders, as they also don't ring the bell or knock the door. Or add a circus as a feature, so I can fit Misha a tutu and let it ride a bicycle.
  4. Started my first-ever journey south, after the initial year collecting everything I needed for it. Fully stocked with valuables and essentials, I'm as excited as I am scared. Excited because I finally got to leave behind my first home and I've seen amazing landscapes along the 6500 blocks trip. Scared because yeah... I don't want to die now. That bear almost got me.
  5. Good one. Haven't thought about refilling the cooking pot during the trip. It would only require hunting every once in a pretty long while. Thanks!
  6. I don't want the food to take up more than one slot in my inventory. Also it should take long before it spoils, and have a decent caloric value. Charred bread keeps long, but it's just grain and a small amount of satiety... yet it's easy to make and I guess it can stack into 64 items. Red meat stew has a very high satiety, but only one crock pot per slot, so no. Having to rely on finding food during the journey can slow you down a bit, but it's not that bad during summer/autumn. What are your suggestions? I've finally crafted my backpacks so I can pack all the essentials when spring ends... eager to leave everything behind and migrate to a new home, closer to the equator!
