On friday i made a post asking about the most efficient way to mine stone blocks. most of the answers i got were about different mods. in the end this was done purely in vanilla. the build isn't quite complete yet (the inside isn't furnished) but i managed to build this in my survival world after around 15 ish hours of mining cutting down trees and building.

full stone blocks, I'll try out this method. I've been slowly losing my will to live just mining all the stone I've gotten so far.

Question in the title, is there? I've been working on building a keep in game but the amount of rock i need comes out to about 1250 for 2500ish ashlar blocks, i'm about half way through mining out the required stone (RIP like 4 iron picks) and I figured I'd hop on to ask if there's any better way to mine out bulk amounts of rock on vanilla.

I've played the game on and off for a while now but i'd always quit once i needed to start mining outside of surface deposits, just made a proper copper mine and this is the base I'm working with. It's not the prettiest thing but I'm happy with it.
