  1. It takes some resources (I'm not at this point in my game yet) but this looks like a great 'grinder' for drifters to use as a model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn37vEkby9Y&list=PLfPHRe7NN33dPBoOnVyVr9O_Cl0CIEzWU&index=3 Basically, dig deep down, dig out a spawning platform around a central station with a moat around it, use water in the moat to push drifters into the center, use ladder mechanics such that when you kill them the corpses are pushed up to easy harvesting range away from their live friends, stock with food weapons and storage, shut out the lights on the spawning platform and go to town. From the video, it appears depth in the world impacts spawn rate and types too.
  2. Light is your friend. Plant torches around as drifters aren't supposed to spawn above a certain light level. The other thing to do is carry a stack of dirt with you to seal off a section to light and loot it before moving on. I'm sure there are more advanced strategies and more detail of the game mechanics that others who have been playing longer than the handful of weeks I have can give you too.
  3. I think I just messed up. I attempted to replicate it. I double-checked the bucket was empty and pressed another pile of cranberries and got cranberry juice this time. I think you're right that there must of have been water in the bucket and I completely missed it the first time around and just wasted the juice. Thanks for setting me on the right path.
  4. I'm running into this same problem. I'm not in a forest (open plain with hills/ponds around) and I can't seem to get rid of the wolves. There's a pack just outside my home to the south, another pack that keeps spawning maybe 100 blocks to the east (really, the top of a hill about 3/4 of the view distance away), and more to the northwest about the same distance. I've built up a trapping pit area and don't think I'll run out of bushmeat any time soon, but it's really annoying because it's hard to safely leave my fences to go foraging for other resources like grass, reeds, or wood. Is there a rate at which they're supposed to re-spawn? Is there a way to eliminate them from an area permanently? Am I doing something wrong such that I'm 'farming' them instead of eradicating them?
  5. I'm playing the game for the first time and really enjoying it. I've made it to bronze tools and have enough ingots I can experiment so I built a fruit press to try out. I put a bucket under it, loaded it with 24 cranberries, and pressed. I got the press animation, got mash out at the end, but found my bucket was only full of water. Graphically it looks like water, the tooltip when I mouse over it says 'bucket of water', and a bowl dipped into it comes out with water as well. I'm not running any food/cooking based mods. This is in single player. So, is this a known bug? Did I do something wrong? Has anyone else experienced this? Really scratching my head here. Thanks in advance for any advice/insight.
