a guy named Onyx on YT did a video on this and explained it way better then i could but this feature is more or less already in the game and can be found used in some story structures. The only problem is that there is no (known) way to recreate it in survival or creative so we are kinda sol on using it in our builds.

Just a small thing honestly and if i wasn't dog water at coding id try to make it but i think the ability to sort way points into groups on the side of the map in order to sort the way points so you don't have to see them all at once, can lead to a lot less map clutter. bonus points if you can set them to be enabled/disabled by default.

A month or so ago a user named Maethius made a post about being able to tp while riding on your elk and it should come with you. Just make sure to tp a little above ground level so it wont get stuck in the ground, I'm getting all this second hand so id test it out in creative first if it was my world. Also i don't know why but when i get far away from my elk the map shows it as being back at my base even thought if i tp back hes not there, But if i retrace my steps a bit once hes back in render range the map fixes itself. I know this doesn't really answer your question but i hope it can help in some way with finding your elk. The new content is always a little finicky so no shame in changing game modes when it starts acting up.

I had trouble at the third location i really enjoyed the 1,2 and 4th locations tho and all 4 look beautiful.

Will purchasing the elk from the TH Trader be removed or will it just be an alternate way to get the elk?
